Emir BardakçıXiaomi released the HyperOS 2 update for the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, providing the device with the newest software experience. The update is Android 14-based, marking the final significant update for the device. While Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is getting its final update, other Xiaomi 11 series phones are still waiting for theirs.
HyperOS 2 Debuts, But Not for All Xiaomi 11 Series Devices
The Xiaomi 11, Xiaomi 11 Pro, and Xiaomi 11 Ultra are still waiting for the HyperOS 2 update, with their owners unaware when their phones will be updated. The other models including the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G and Xiaomi 11 Lite 4G have not updated to HyperOS 1, so the update will not out for these devices.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite, which uses the Snapdragon 778G chip alongside the 11 Lite 5G NE, is a surprising omission from the HyperOS 2 update strategy. That means the company is prioritizing its last update push for the older versions, with the likelihood of other, more recent phones having a different update strategy. Xiaomi 12 Lite will not get HyperOS 2.
China First, Global Rollout to Follow
The update, which is OS2.0.1.0.UKOCNXM, is currently rolling out in China through the Mi Pilot program. A global rollout should follow in the weeks to come, bringing HyperOS 2 to consumers worldwide.

What a ridiculous strategy. Is it possible that the higher model (12Lite) won’t get an update? I’ll never buy Xiaomi again.
When you switch the region to Nigeria, the Hyper OS2 update for Mi11Lite 5G NE is already available. I will wait at least for the CZ region.
Xiami 11 Lite 5G NE and haven´t got the update yet. It’s April 18th. Why is that?
Hello, I am downloading the update (which has been offered to me for several weeks) but the device restart takes between 4 and 6 hours and during the restart, a message says that the update could not be completed… strange!
