Today, Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, shared some experiences in Heihe‘s winter testing site in a few postings on Weibo today. Known in these industries for making several innovations leading at the frontline is the Lei Jun CEO of Xiaomi Company; he announced that his visit targeted three key events, thus his participation:
- Test Result Evaluation: Lei Jun accepted the winter test results of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and YU7, some of the highly anticipated electric vehicles by Xiaomi.
- Support Engineering: He also thanked the over 160 engineers working at the site and said that it is not easy to start experiments at 5 AM in the freezing cold.
- Mastering Winter Driving Skills: Meanwhile, Lei Jun has seized the opportunity and learned to drive, getting his car sideways on icy and snow-covered roads, performing a classic “putting water over ice” in the representation.

Impressively, Xiaomi turned up the heat with fast-paced EV technological advancements during the tests to operate under extremely cold conditions.

- Low Temperature Zone: -5 to -15° C:
- Actual range: 737 km.
- Range achievement rate: 91%, beating the second place EV by 19.5 kilometers.
- Ultra-Low Temperature Zone: -25 to -20° Centigrade
- Actual range: 385 kilometers.
- Range achievement rate: 47.5%,beating the second-placed EV by 48.8 kilometers.
These results underline the leading efficiency and range reliability the SU7 provides in cold climates, placing its position as one of the frontrunners in the electric vehicle market.
