Adimorah JudeVivo has officially unveiled the Vivo Y51 Pro 5G in India after several leaks hinted at the phone’s arrival. The new device enters the mid-range segment but stands out with its massive 7200mAh battery, fast charging support, and a capable MediaTek Dimensity chipset.
The smartphone arrives as the successor to the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G and brings several improvements, including a faster display and a larger battery designed for extended usage.
Display and design
The Vivo Y51 Pro 5G features a 6.75-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling and better responsiveness for everyday tasks and gaming.
As expected from this price range, the device uses an LCD panel rather than OLED, but the high refresh rate helps enhance the overall viewing experience.
Dimensity chipset and storage options
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7350‑Turbo processor, a mid-range chipset designed to balance performance and efficiency. The chip is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, ensuring faster app loading and smoother multitasking.
Out of the box, the phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. This also means the device will be eligible for future Android upgrades alongside upcoming OriginOS updates.
Massive 7200mAh battery with reverse charging
One of the standout features of the Vivo Y51 Pro 5G is its 7200mAh battery, which is significantly larger than what most mid-range smartphones offer.
The phone supports 44W fast charging, allowing the large battery to recharge quickly. While wireless charging is not supported, the device does include reverse wired charging, letting users power up accessories such as earbuds or smartwatches directly from the phone.
Camera setup
For photography, the device comes with a dual-camera system on the rear.
The setup includes a 50MP primary camera supported by a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. On the front, the phone features an 8MP selfie camera for video calls and social media photography.

Other notable features on the Vivo Y51 Pro 5G include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and dual SIM support.

The Vivo Y51 Pro 5G is available in Red and Noble Gold color options.
Pricing starts at Rs 24,999 (~$270) for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 27,999 (~$305). The device is now available for purchase in India through Vivo’s retail and online channels.
