Vivo Y37+ debuts in China with MediaTek Dimensity chip and 6000mAh battery

Vivo has quietly launched the Vivo Y37+ in China, expanding its Y-series lineup with a new affordable smartphone that focuses on battery life and essential features. The device is now listed on Vivo’s official Chinese website and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as standard. Meanwhile, you can check out the Vivo X300 Ultra if you are interested in premium devices.

The new Y-series phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset and packs a large 6000mAh battery, making it an appealing option for users looking for a long-lasting device at a reasonable price. The handset starts at 1,599 yuan (around $230) and is available in three color options.

The Vivo Y37+ features a 6.74-inch LCD display designed with eye-protection technology. The panel supports 90Hz refresh rate, DC dimming, and can reach up to 1000 nits of brightness, which should help improve visibility outdoors.

Its screen has a 1600 × 720 resolution, which is typical for smartphones in this price range. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 5MP front-facing camera, while the rear houses a 13MP main camera for everyday photography.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The chipset enables 5G connectivity, allowing the phone to support faster mobile networks.

One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo Y37+ is its 6000mAh battery, which should easily deliver extended usage for streaming, gaming, and daily tasks. The battery supports 44W wired charging, helping users quickly top up when needed.

Although the device does not support wireless charging, it does feature reverse wired charging, allowing it to charge other devices when necessary.

The Vivo Y37+ includes dual SIM support, Wi-Fi connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.4. The device also keeps some useful hardware features such as a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port.

For navigation, the smartphone supports multiple satellite positioning systems including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and GNSS.

Security options include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with face unlock for quick access.

Durability, colors, and availability

Vivo says the device has received a five-star SGS certification, confirming improved drop and shock resistance. The phone also supports NFC and an infrared remote control, allowing it to function as a remote for compatible home appliances.

The Vivo Y37+ is available in Obsidian Black, Lapis Lazuli Blue, and Sunrise Gold Mountain color options. It is currently listed on Vivo’s official website in China, where customers can already place orders for the device.
