Vivo is preparing to launch several new smartphones in the coming weeks, with the X300 series taking center stage. Some of these devices were showcased during Mobile World Congress 2026, but the Vivo X300s was noticeably absent.
That has now changed. Vivo has officially started teasing the device, suggesting that its debut could happen soon. Early indications point to the phone launching alongside the Vivo X300 Ultra, which is expected to be the flagship model in the lineup.
Vivo confirms the “Max” experience with the X300s
The new teaser comes from Han Boxiao, Product Manager at Vivo Communication Technology. According to him, the Vivo X300s is “Max inside and out.”
He describes the device as “a super standard version with no compromises in performance and imaging.” This description suggests that the phone will deliver flagship-level capabilities despite not carrying the Ultra branding.
Interestingly, the X300s might actually be the X300 Max that was briefly seen at Vivo’s booth during MWC 2026. The company reportedly considered launching the phone under the X300 Max name but eventually chose “X300s” to stay consistent with previous generations of the X-series.
Vivo X300s display and gaming features
Vivo has already confirmed several key specifications of the upcoming phone, hinting that the launch may not be far away.
The Vivo X300s will feature a 6.78-inch BOE Q10 Plus display with a 144Hz refresh rate, designed to deliver smoother visuals. The panel will also support native 144FPS gameplay in select MOBA titles. Vivo is also adding ZEISS color tuning to the display for more accurate colors, along with Circular Polarization Technology 2.0, which is intended to improve eye comfort during long usage sessions.
Improved audio and haptics for gaming
The company has also focused on improving the gaming experience with upgraded audio and haptic feedback.
The phone will include symmetric 1115 dual speakers paired with enhanced amplifiers and sound algorithms. According to Vivo, this setup delivers a wider sound field, making in-game audio cues like footsteps and gunfire clearer so players can identify positions more easily.
To complement the audio improvements, the device will feature a new 4D vibration motor designed to deliver stronger and more detailed haptic feedback during gameplay. Vivo claims this will be the largest and most powerful vibration motor ever used in an X-series smartphone.
Camera and performance details
On the camera side, the Vivo X300s is confirmed to feature a 200MP main sensor, although additional camera specifications have not been fully revealed yet. Reports suggest the device may also include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera for improved zoom photography.
Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. It will run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The device is also expected to come with IP68 and IP69 certifications, offering strong protection against dust and water.
Expected launch timeline
Vivo has not revealed the pricing, memory configurations, or availability of the X300s yet. However, with official teasers already underway and several specifications confirmed, the launch is likely getting closer.
If current reports are accurate, the Vivo X300s could be unveiled alongside the Vivo X300 Ultra in the coming weeks. More details are expected to surface soon as Vivo continues its teasers.
