Vivo X300 Ultra Appears on Geekbench With Surprisingly Low Scores Ahead of Launch

The Vivo X300 Ultra has been making headlines for weeks, even though the company has yet to officially announce its launch date. Interestingly, many of the device’s key specifications have already been revealed by Vivo itself, suggesting the official unveiling may be very close.

Now, the upcoming flagship has surfaced on the benchmark platform Geekbench, giving us an early look at its potential performance.

Vivo X300 Ultra Spotted on Geekbench

According to recent reports, a new Vivo device carrying the model number V2562 has appeared in the Geekbench 6 database. While benchmark listings usually reveal only the model number, the same device was previously certified on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform with the identical model number.

This strongly suggests that the benchmark listing belongs to the Vivo X300 Ultra.

Based on the listing, the device scored 1,618 points in the single-core test and 6,015 points in the multi-core test. These numbers are somewhat lower than expected for a flagship smartphone.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Confirmed

The Geekbench entry also reveals some details about the chipset configuration. The device appears to feature:

  • Two high-performance cores clocked at 4.61GHz
  • Six additional cores running at 3.63GHz

The source code from the benchmark listing further confirms the presence of the Adreno 840 GPU. This indicates that the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in global markets.

Additionally, the listing shows the device paired with 16GB of RAM, which should provide strong multitasking capabilities.

Early Benchmark Scores May Not Reflect Final Performance

Despite the powerful hardware, the scores recorded on Geekbench are somewhat underwhelming. However, early benchmark results often come from pre-release testing units that are not fully optimized.

Because of this, it would be premature to draw firm conclusions about the device’s real-world performance. Software optimization and firmware updates typically improve benchmark scores significantly before the final retail launch.

Possible Launch Date

Recent leaks suggest that Vivo may officially unveil the Vivo X300 Ultra later this month. The flagship could debut alongside the Vivo X300s, with reports pointing to March 30 as the possible launch date in China.

Following its domestic debut, the device is expected to become available in global markets shortly afterward. If the rumors are accurate, we won’t have to wait long to see how the Vivo X300 Ultra performs once it officially hits the market.
