Vivo has officially unveiled the design of its upcoming flagship smartphones — the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300s. The company shared the first official images, giving us a clear look at both devices for the first time without protective cases, confirming earlier leaks and rumors.
A camera-first design philosophy
According to Vivo’s product manager Han Boxiao, the X300 Ultra is positioned as a “professional V camera phone,” while the X300s is described as a “super V camera phone” in a more compact form.
The term “V camera phone” reflects Vivo’s strategy of building smartphones with a strong emphasis on professional-grade imaging. This approach combines advanced camera hardware with software optimization to deliver a near DSLR-like experience in a mobile form factor.
Vivo X300 Ultra and X300s will be available in Film Green finish
Both devices are shown in a new “Film Green” color option. The finish draws inspiration from classic photography gear while maintaining a modern smartphone appeal.
The design language appears premium and minimal, with a large circular camera module dominating the rear — reinforcing the camera-centric positioning of the X300 series.
Telephoto extender takes mobile photography further
One of the standout features revealed is support for a long-range telephoto extender kit, pushing smartphone zoom capabilities even further.
Vivo introduces two distinct telephoto systems:
- “Cannon 400” — Exclusive to the X300 Ultra, designed for extreme long-distance photography with up to a 400mm focal length equivalent
- “Lipstick 200” — A more compact and portable zoom option aimed at everyday telephoto shooting
This modular approach suggests Vivo is targeting both professional users and casual photography enthusiasts.
Built for professional video recording
Beyond photography, the X300 series is shaping up to be a powerhouse for videography. Reports indicate support for:
- 4K video recording at 120fps
- 10-bit Log video capture
- Cinematic slow-motion video at 4K resolution
These features position the devices as strong contenders for content creators looking for high-end video capabilities on a smartphone.
Expected launch date and availability
Multiple reports suggest that Vivo will officially launch the X300 Ultra and X300s on March 30 in China.
While the X300 Ultra is expected to see a global release, the X300s may remain exclusive to the Chinese market — a strategy Vivo has used in the past for certain models.
What to expect next
With official teasers now rolling out, more details about specifications, pricing, and availability are expected in the coming days. The Vivo X300 series is already shaping up to be one of the most camera-focused smartphone lineups of the year, and anticipation is building ahead of its official debut.
