Vivo X300 Ultra Spotted With 400mm Zeiss Teleconverter Offering 17x Optical Zoom

Vivo has officially showcased its upcoming camera-focused flagship, the Vivo X300 Ultra, and early hands-on images reveal a bold redesign centered around professional photography. The device was spotted alongside a powerful 400mm Zeiss teleconverter lens, confirming earlier rumors ahead of its appearance at MWC 2026.

The biggest highlight of the Vivo X300 Ultra is its new 400mm Zeiss teleconverter attachment. According to Vivo, the add-on enables up to 17x true optical zoom. Thanks to in-sensor cropping technology, the zoom range can stretch to approximately 800mm (around 30x) while maintaining impressive detail and clarity.

Vivo is clearly targeting professional creators with this setup. The company also showcased a new Video Ring system that supports multiple accessories including a grip handle, cooling fan, and external lighting equipment — effectively transforming the smartphone into a compact cinema rig.

Dual 200MP Camera System Confirmed

The circular camera island remains, but the hardware inside is even more ambitious. Reports suggest the X300 Ultra will feature:

  • A 200MP main camera using the Sony LYT-901 sensor (1/1.12-inch, 35mm focal length)
  • A 200MP periscope telephoto lens powered by the Samsung HPB (1/1.4-inch, 85mm) with Zeiss APO certification
  • A 50MP ultra-wide camera using the Sony LYT-828
  • A 50MP front camera with autofocus support

This configuration positions the device as one of the most advanced camera smartphones expected in 2026.

Display, Performance and Battery

Away from the cameras, the Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to pack a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1400 x 3168 resolution for sharp visuals and smooth adaptive refresh rates.

Under the hood, it will reportedly run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, built on an advanced 3nm process. Powering the device is a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.

On the software side, the phone will launch with Android 16 based on OriginOS 6, as Android 17 has not yet reached stable release.

Launch Timeline

While the device has been showcased, reports suggest the official unveiling may happen at a later date. The Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to debut first in China, followed by a global launch around April or May.

With its massive zoom capabilities, dual 200MP sensors, and creator-focused accessories, the Vivo X300 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious camera smartphones of the year. Pricing details remain unknown for now.
