Vivo T5 and Vivo T5 Pro Appear on Indonesia’s SDPPI Certification, Launch Timeline Hinted

Vivo is gearing up for a busy product cycle beyond its upcoming flagship launches. While attention is currently on the X300 series, new evidence suggests the company is already preparing its next mid-range lineup. The Vivo T5 and Vivo T5 Pro have now been spotted on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform, confirming that development is well underway.

The certification listing reveals the model numbers V2583 and V2602, believed to correspond to the Vivo T5 and Vivo T5 Pro respectively. Although no hardware specifications were disclosed in the filing, such approvals typically indicate that an official launch is drawing closer.

Vivo T5 Series Certification Confirms Development

The appearance of both devices on SDPPI strongly suggests Vivo is progressing steadily toward launch. Certifications like this are often part of the final regulatory steps before a product becomes official in multiple markets.

At this stage, details remain limited to just the model numbers, but the listing validates earlier reports that Vivo is working on successors to the T4 lineup. More certifications and leaks are expected to surface in the coming weeks, which should provide clearer insight into the hardware and features.

Expected Specs and Possible Launch Timeline

Based on the previous generation, the Vivo T5 series is expected to bring notable upgrades. The Vivo T4 lineup featured a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and impressive peak brightness, so improvements in display quality and efficiency are likely.

Performance could also see a boost. The T4 series was powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, but Vivo may opt for a newer Qualcomm processor or potentially switch to a MediaTek alternative for better performance-to-efficiency balance.

On the camera side, the T4 Pro included a triple-camera setup with OIS on both the main and periscope lenses. The next generation could refine this setup further with improved sensors and software processing. Battery capacity is also expected to increase beyond the already large 6,500mAh unit, alongside fast charging capabilities.

Given that the Vivo T4 series launched in August last year, the Vivo T5 and Vivo T5 Pro are likely to follow a similar release window in August 2026.

For now, the certification confirms one thing: Vivo’s next mid-range contenders are on the way, and more details should emerge soon as the launch approaches.
