Upcoming Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro features Wi-Fi connectivity

Renowned tech commentator Digital Chat Station has confirmed that Xiaomi will be releasing its new Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro in-ear noise-cancelling earbuds. The new Pro variant will be said to arrive with a Wi-Fi variant, with more features such as push-type interactive gestures, real-time interpretation, and wireless charging. This marks a major improvement for Xiaomi’s audio offerings, with more intelligent and convenient features for its consumers.

Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro: An Improvement on Buds 5

Xiaomi’s current earbuds Buds 5 were announced in July 2024 and are available in Snow Mountain White, Titanium Gold, Moon Shadow Black, and Frost Blue. The earbuds, with a retail price of 699 yuan, feature “inside and outside super-sensing dual magnets,” Qualcomm lossless sound, independent headphone recording, active noise cancelling, and spatial sound for enhanced immersion.

With the launch of the Pro variant, Xiaomi also seems to be targeting consumers who demand more premium features, including real-time interpretation, possibly useful for multilingual conversations. The availability of wireless charging and interactive push-type operations also contributes towards usability, and the Buds 5 Pro becomes a viable competitor in wireless earbuds for the higher-end segment.

What can we expect from Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro?

While Xiaomi has not made the launch date official, sources from Digital Chat Station’s leak suggest the Wi-Fi Buds 5 Pro will be able to provide a more smooth and low-latency sound experience compared to standard Bluetooth-only devices. If this occurs, this could be a giant step for experts and music lovers who rely on super-speed connectivity and top-shelf quality music playback. As Xiaomi expands its audio offerings, the Buds 5 Pro could be one of the best wireless earbuds with maximum features in its class, up against industry leaders.
