These Xiaomi phones will be losing update support in 2025

With 2025 approaching, every Xiaomi user should be keen on the update support lifecycle of their devices. Although Xiaomi has a very different record on long-term support for its devices, this reaches an end shortly. Below is a full rundown of Xiaomi phones bound to lose their update support come 2025.

Phones reaching EOL in 2025

These devices do not receive any security updates after 2025. Some will receive their last update in early 2025 and some in mid-2025.

  • Redmi Note 11 SE
  • POCO M4 5G
  • Redmi 10 5G
  • Redmi 11 Prime 5G
  • Redmi Note 11S 5G
  • Redmi 10C
  • Redmi Pad
  • Redmi Note 11S
  • Redmi Note 11
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
  • POCO M4 Pro
  • Redmi Note 11Pro +5G
  • POCO X4 Pro 5G
  • Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE
  • Xiaomi 11T Pro
  • Xiaomi 11T
  • Mi 11 Ultra

Continued Security Updates Post EOL

Although these devices will officially reach their EOL in 2025, it is good to note that Xiaomi had a history of updating the security even after the official support period ended. This therefore would mean that some important security patches may be received, although certainly not regularly.

Xiaomi announces: Several devices to stop receiving updates

Upgrades in Xiaomi’s HyperOS

Xiaomi is famous for its high-standard software development, and now, with the coming of HyperOS, a new era in user experience will dawn on us. That shall quite supportively put it at a step ahead of MIUI 14 without a doubt. However, not all devices will switch over to this latest version.

Devices that will receive Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0:

  • Xiaomi 11T Pro
  • Xiaomi 11T
  • Mi 11 Ultra

These models will simply benefit from HyperOS 2.0 to ensure that they are always updated regarding innovations taking place in the Xiaomi software ecosystem.

If you are wondering whether your device will get Android 15 or HyperOS 2.0, you can check it with our HyperOS Downloader app. When you enter the application, data will appear in front of you.

Devices Sticking with Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0:

The rest of the devices on the list will receive their final updates with Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0. Although it won’t upgrades to the newest, at least in any case, HyperOS 1.0 itself is a big upgrade compared to MIUI 14, which at least provides users with smooth and safe experiences.

Staying Updated

Keeping yourself updated to the latest security patches and OS ensures that your devices are kept at peak performance and security for Xiaomi users. Jumping way forward to 2025, keep a lookout for the very last updates your device might have the potential to receive. Be sure to monitor the official announcements from Xiaomi and update logs so you don’t miss a critical update.

Next year is going to see a large list of devices that will lose update support, but there is some solace—extended security updates by Xiaomi. It was mentioned about the coming of the HyperOS while Xiaomi seems to never stop innovating in software and ensures the best possible experience for its users. Know it all, stay updated, and maximize your Xiaomi as we step into the future.

Redmi note 11 pro 5 g versão RKCEUXM veux nunca recebeu atualização. Nasceu morto. Fiquei muito chateado de ter comprado esse modelo. A xiaomi deveria ter avisado esse problema. Cuidado quando comprar smartphone da xiaomi.

I just wonder how Xiaomi intends to maintain brand loyalty, because this doesn’t make sense to me or anyone using the listed phones, These phones should at least get hyperOS 1.5 and quarterly security updates, if it means employing more hands, they should do it.

Some of these products come out in 2022. Xiaomi needs to release less options and give support for more years.
