In a key development for owners of Xiaomi devices, a number of key smartphone models are set to enter end-of-life (EOL) update status in June. Devices affected include members of the popular Redmi Note 11T collection and the POCO F4, which was a performance-oriented model. The budget-oriented POCO C40 is also on the list of devices to enter EOL update. This update represents the end of the official software life cycle of these devices and shows why HyperOS update schedules are a key consideration for prospective buyers
Which Xiaomi Phones are Approaching EOL?
A variety of device families will receive their last update on June 27 and will subsequently stop receiving official software support from Xiaomi:
- Redmi Note 11T Pro
- Redmi Note 11T Pro+
- Redmi K50i
- POCO X4 GT
- POCO C40
- Redmi K40S
- POCO F4
The majority of these phone models got their April 2025 update and are scheduled to receive May and even June updates prior to entering EOL. These phones will end the update cycle with HyperOS 1 on Android 14, which saw considerable enhancements to the user interface.
POCO C40 Already Near EOL Status
The budget POCO C40 has long been close to EOL status. The phone last got an update in February 2024 as MIUI 13 with Android 11. This makes it far behind the update cycle of its relatives, which have been constantly receiving newer versions.
What Does This Mean to Xiaomi Users
For customers of such devices, the EOL designation means they will no longer receive:
- Patching for security and fixing vulnerabilities
- New features and UI improvements
- System performance and optimizations
While the phones will keep on operating as usual, they might increasingly fall prey to security concerns and lose out on newer Android features.
Keeping Your Xiaomi Device Updated
Even if such devices are reaching EOL designation, users are assured to receive the newest available updates by keeping the system updater updated regularly. Users of Xiaomi can further boost their experience using the MemeOS Enhancer program available on the Play Store, which brings out hidden Xiaomi features, enables system application update options, and makes screen update options available even when official support has been withdrawn.

just unlock your phone’s bootloader man. my redmi note 13 use full feature of hyperOS not the lite one with grey control center and my redmi note 6 pro still alive using Lineage OS 22.1 android 15 Based + Overclock kernel. EOL mean nothing to xiaomi phone, user can install latest android and security patch. that’s why i choose xiaomi over other phone (except flagship of course).
well at least my poco F3 steps on hyperOS 1.0.3 its a bonus if they want to update it.
