Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 leaked benchmarks reveal Xiaomi 16 series power

Xiaomi is preparing to launch its 16 series with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor—a significant advancement for the brand’s flagship lineup. Recent Geekbench scores show the chip achieving 3,393 in single-core and 11,515 in multi-core performance, reflecting a noteworthy 10% improvement over the prior generation. This new processor will be integrated into the Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Ultra, along with the POCO F8 Ultra and Redmi K90 Pro. Notably, these benchmark results emerged well ahead of Qualcomm’s official September release, offering an early preview of the upcoming devices’ capabilities.

Room for Further Performance Gains

It’s important to note that the Geekbench testing was conducted with the processor running at a conservative 4.0 GHz, below its maximum boost frequency of 4.74 GHz. This indicates that production models may deliver even stronger real-world performance once clock speeds are pushed to their full potential. Such headroom also grants Xiaomi additional flexibility for software and system optimization, particularly with its HyperOS platform

Advanced Architecture and AI Capabilities

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 maintains a reliable 6+2 CPU core structure, with efficiency cores reaching up to 3.63 GHz. The inclusion of SME (Scalable Matrix Extensions) boosts AI processing capabilities, which is expected to enhance computational photography and other intelligent features within Xiaomi’s HyperOS ecosystem.

For comparison, last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite delivered 3,087 single-core and 8,571 multi-core results. The new chip marks a substantial leap in all relevant metrics.

Broad Device Integration

The following Xiaomi models are confirmed to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2:

  • Xiaomi 16
  • Xiaomi 16 Pro
  • Xiaomi 16 Ultra
  • POCO F8 Ultra
  • REDMI K90 Pro

By standardizing this advanced processor across its flagship and premium models, Xiaomi ensures a consistent, high-performance experience for users throughout its product range.

For users looking to maximize the capabilities of their current Xiaomi devices, the MemeOS Enhancer app is available on the Play Store, offering additional features and optimization tools.
