Rumors suggest Redmi will launch Gaming Tablet in next year

Blogger DCS unearthed some juicy new details of an upcoming gaming tablet from a major manufacturer that’s supposed to hit the market “later next year.” The new tablet will purportedly sport a custom-designed, high-refresh-rate LCD featuring an estimated 8.X-inch panel size and be powered by a “contemporary flagship chip.” Judging from the comments and other recent leaks, the cloaked manufacturer is suspected to be Xiaomi’s Redmi brand.

Main Features of the Upcoming Gaming Tablet

The gaming tablet is supposed to be compact with an 8.X-inch screen in comparison to most of the tablets out there, while still being large enough for comfort during its use for gaming. The high-refresh-rate LCD display promises to make gameplay even more wonderful due to smooth visuals for fast action. It is also expected to boast a high-end processor, described as a “contemporary flagship chip.” That’s purportedly going to pack in the oomph for serious mobile gaming, while keeping performance power-efficient for a range of applications.

Potential Chips: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or MediaTek Dimensity 9400?

There has been much speculation among technology enthusiasts regarding the chipset that would be installed inside the tablet. Although some leaks showed it might come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chip, maybe the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the latest leaks point toward it being powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor. Either way, one can tell that the latest gadget will host top-notch processing capabilities that would make it one of the best gaming tablets.

Xiaomi’s Track Record in the Tablet Market

In fact, this alone makes the Redmi brand from Xiaomi very strong in the tablet space. For example, let’s take a look at the current Redmi Pad Pro, which features a 12.1-inch 2.5K resolution LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, eminently suitable for work and entertainment.

Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, it comes in the following configurations: 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB; prices start from 1,399 yuan, approximately $190 USD. Immediately, this puts Redmi in its usual position of being a more value-for-money brand, and this new gaming tablet is surely not different.

What to Expect from the New Redmi Gaming Tablet

With the propensity of Xiaomi to price the Redmi Pad series competitively, the same could be expected from this upcoming gaming tablet, matched with strong specifications and a focus on gaming performance. The high-refresh-rate screen combined with a flagship-level chip here indicates that this device should target gamers who want a premium experience without breaking the bank.

While more detailed information on battery life, storage options, and price remains secretive, this early leak promises that Xiaomi and Redmi will do a killing in the gaming tablet market. As further details are very likely to leak in the coming months, tech enthusiasts and gamers alike will be watching for their official unveiling.

While Xiaomi is still innovating more around tablets, be sure the rumored Redmi gaming tablet will be one for 2024. Boasting a high-refresh-rate display and with a formidable flagship processor-possibly the MediaTek Dimensity 9400-this upcoming tablet comes to give nothing but a superior gaming experience. By adopting the cheap-for-its-value approach, as it is in the case of previous Redmi devices, it could be one to pose stiff competition in the growing segment of gaming tablets. And stay tuned for more updates as we approach the official launch of the tablet next year!
