Redmi has officially introduced two major products to its lineup, signaling a strategic move into the premium market segment. The newly announced K80 Ultra smartphone and the K Pad tablet—collectively branded as the “Double K Demon Kings”—reflect Redmi’s commitment to raising both its performance standards and its brand profile. Both devices are powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400+ chipset and are scheduled to launch later this month, marking a notable step in Redmi’s evolution from a value-focused brand to a serious contender in the premium space.
REDMI K80 Ultra: Premium Performance at a Competitive Price
According to Wang Teng, Redmi positions the K80 Ultra as “the most luxurious performance king in the industry’s 3K price range.” In practical terms, this means the device is designed to deliver flagship-level features and user experience without the premium price tag often found elsewhere in the industry.
K80 Ultra Key Features
- MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ flagship processor
- 7,400mAh high-capacity battery
- 120W ultra-fast charging technology
- Premium build and materials
- Advanced cooling system for sustained high performance
These specifications underscore Redmi’s intent to compete directly with established brands in the mid-to-high-end smartphone market.
REDMI K Pad: A Strategic Entry into Premium Tablets
Redmi’s K Pad is targeted squarely at Apple’s iPad Mini, with the company emphasizing premium feel, robust performance, and comprehensive configuration. The 8.8-inch K Pad features a 3K CSOT LCD with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio, coupled with 67W fast charging for extended productivity.
This product launch demonstrates Redmi’s ambition to diversify beyond smartphones while maintaining its core value proposition—delivering high-end specifications at accessible pricing.
Availability
The REDMI K Pad will be launched in all markets except India. However, the REDMI K80 Ultra will not be released directly in the global market. Until now, REDMI K Ultra devices have always been rebranded and sold as “Xiaomi T Pro” models. This year, instead of rebranding, Xiaomi has decided to produce a completely different device. The Xiaomi 15T Pro will be a different device from the REDMI K80 Ultra and will be available in all countries except India.
