Today, Wang Teng, Xiaomi China Marketing Department Deputy General Manager and Redmi Brand General Manager, confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ would be the world’s first smartphone driven by Qualcomm’s third-generation Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip alongside a 6200mAh Jinshajiang silicon-carbon battery.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+: Key Features
- Third-generation Snapdragon 7s chip, codenamed SM7635, was newer and based on a 4nm process with an 8-core CPU. Although much lower compared to Snapdragon 7+ Generation 3, there was a huge improvement in performance and support on-device generative AI. These include large language model supports such as Baichuan-7B and Llama 2.
- 6200mAh Jinshajiang silicon-carbon battery: Boasting an energy density of a massive 814Wh/L, this is supposedly the “strongest Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery.”
- It has ultra-long battery life and 90W fast charging.
For those buying the device in first sales, Xiaomi has also given a five-year battery guarantee. This is a big jump for the phone because, with the inclusion of Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and a powerful battery, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series aims at users who seek both performance and battery longevity. Since it will officially make its way to stores this September 26, expect the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ to be one of the major players in the mid-range smartphone market.
