This morning, it was confirmed by Xiaomi via its Redmi Weibo account that the REDMI K90 Pro Max Champion Edition, which was developed alongside Lamborghini Squadra Corse, will go on air tonight at 7 PM, China time. This collaboration follows on from a tradition of performance-orientated design and luxury-driven design that this brand has built its heritage upon. Redmi teamed with Lamborghini before on special variants like the K70 Pro Champion Edition as well as K80 Pro Champion Edition which became collectibles amongst fans.
Designed for Performance, Designed for Luxury
REDMI K90 Pro Max Champion Edition carries Lamborghini’s DNA for racing, which brings together speed aesthetics with high-tech for the best results. It has sleek, aerodynamic edges with a premium metal crater camera body. Its body features new denim and nano-leather materials that combine premium texture with ruggedness.
The device will be available in multiple finishes:
- Denim Blue (Two-tone warp, two-tone weft technical denim)
- Flowing Gold White
- Pure Black (still a secretly unknown name)
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
At its core, the Redmi K90 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset — Qualcomm’s most advanced flagship processor of the year — paired with a dedicated D2 AI graphics chip. This combination delivers superior performance, intelligent power management, and hardware-level super-resolution for gaming and multimedia tasks.
6.9-inch Super Pixel display with no discernible difference from that seen on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which supports:
- Complete RGB color simulation
- Mi Qingshan Eye Protection 3.0
- 1nit ultra-low brightness protection
- Circularly polarized light 2.0
- Full brightness DC dimming
This provides unbeatable visual clarity regardless of high lighting conditions.
A New Camera Benchmark for Redmi
Redmi unveils its first 5x periscope telephoto lens on the K90 Pro Max. This high-end system enables 5x optical zoom, 10x lossless zoom, and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). The primary sensor, which they call Light Hunter 950, is a 1/1.31-inch ultra-giant sensor with 13.5EV dynamic range and high-end DXG HDR technology, which was earlier provided in the Xiaomi 17 series.
Completing this is a 50MP ultra-wide lens, offering a whole professional-level imaging performance. The 1G+6P hybrid lens design, with per-lens coating, boosts color proficiency as well as light collection at every condition.
Immersing Audio and Best-in-Class Protection
The Redmi K90 Pro Max Champion Edition comes with a 2.1 stereo system that was co-designed with Bose. It includes two super linear speakers and a dedicated large woofer. This configuration offers cinema-level sound with distinct high notes as well as powerful bass output.
For safety, it’s IP68-rated for complete protection from dust and water.
Pricing and Availability
From early reports, the Redmi K90 Pro Max Champion Edition will retail for approximately 4,000 CNY ($550 USD) in China. Like before, this phone will again targeted for a Chinese exclusivity release.
