REDMI K80 Ultra leaked spec list, will feature Dimensity 9400+

Prominent tech commentator Digital Chat Station has uncovered major specifications of a Dimensity 9400+ smartphone, most likely to be the REDMI K80 Ultra.

Device specifications

According to the leakage, the phone features a 6.8X-inch 1.5K LTPS display and a straight four-side screen. The construction consists of a metal mid-frame, and the back also features a rounded DECO design camera at the upper left corner.

One of the most striking specifications in the phone is the enormous battery capacity, mentioned to be 7400-7500mAh. The support in terms of charging also remains the same in the previous models, and the phone gets 100-watt wired support.

Dimensity 9400+ specifications

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor officially debuts in March. The latest chip also features the upgraded X925 super-core, whose frequency rate is 3.7GHz, an increase from the last generation.

For comparison, the most recent Dimensity 9400 processor provides

  • 1x Cortex-X925 super large core at 3.626GHz
  • 3x Cortex-X4 high cores at 3.3GHz
  • 4x Cortex-A720 high cores at 2.4GHz

The new Dimensity 9400+ will maintain the all-big core architecture design and offer improved CPU frequencies.

Industry uptake

Multiple manufacturers are reportedly preparing to launch devices featuring the Dimensity 9400+ processor around mid-year, including:

  • OnePlus
  • Realme
  • REDMI

Additionally, two other manufacturers are also working on developing flagship phones with the chip

  • One with a streamlined body and straight display and slender periscope camera mechanism
  • Another developing a greater instrument having a straight screen and overall ultrasonic imaging capabilities

Industry observers are eagerly awaiting to see how the upgraded processor performs in real-life applications, and how the devices roll into the market.
