REDMI K Pad gaming tablet launches with Dimensity 9400+ for $387

REDMI has officially introduced its first-ever flagship tablet—the K Pad—marking a notable expansion of its product portfolio. Debuted at Xiaomi’s Human-Car-Home Full Ecosystem Launch Conference, the K Pad is positioned as a value-driven yet premium device, launching at a competitive starting price of 2,799 yuan (approximately $387 USD) for the Chinese market.

With this release, REDMI is clearly targeting consumers seeking flagship-level performance in a portable format. The K Pad features an 8.8-inch display paired with the advanced Dimensity 9400+ processor, engineered to deliver robust gaming and multimedia experiences without sacrificing mobility.

Compact Design with Premium Display Features

The K Pad’s 8.8-inch “golden ratio” display presents a balance between portability and productivity. Its 3K LCD panel offers a 165Hz refresh rate and a 372Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring smooth user interactions and responsive gaming. The 16:10 aspect ratio further enhances versatility, catering to both entertainment and work-related use cases.

The device showcases an all-metal unibody design and is available in three distinct color options, providing both durability and a customizable aesthetic.

Flagship Performance and Advanced Cooling

Powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chip, the K Pad is built to handle high-performance applications and demanding games. REDMI has incorporated an extensive aluminum alloy liquid-cooled VC system, improving heat dissipation and allowing the device to sustain peak performance during prolonged usage. This enables the K Pad to support a 3K, full-frame gaming experience—an industry first for Android tablets.

Enhanced Connectivity and Audio Capabilities

Among its standout features, the K Pad offers dual USB-C ports and advanced “bypass charging Plus” technology, supporting extended gaming sessions without excessive battery wear. The 7,500mAh battery is designed for long use while maintaining a slim profile.

REDMI has also invested in audio and haptics, equipping the device with a custom four-speaker system and dual X-axis linear motors for immersive sound and feedback. The new triple-antenna Wi-Fi architecture aims to reduce latency and improve connectivity, addressing key pain points for gaming and streaming users.

Note: The REDMI K Pad is currently available in China with a starting price of 2,799 yuan ($387 USD). It will be released in Global markets as Xiaomi T Pad.
