The REDMI A7 has officially passed Thailand’s NBTC certification under the model number 26020RNB4A. Official data confirms this is an entry-level smartphone restricted to 4G networks. The device is built around a large display and a high-capacity 6000mAh battery. It will launch alongside the REDMI A7 Pro, which is also confirmed as a 4G-only device.
Certification Details
Based on early firmware analysis and regional certification databases like the NBTC and EU EEC, Xiaomi is continuing its strategy of shared motherboard architectures. The REDMI A7 and A7 Pro share almost identical core hardware with the upcoming C81 Pro model.
The GSMA database information we found shows us the POCO variant of REDMI A7 looks like cancelled and there are two different model numbers of REDMI A7.
Looking at the technical specifications, the device uses the Unisoc T7250 processor. I can note that running Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 with only 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM will require mininmal background process management. The hardware includes a 6.9-inch 720p+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Driving a 120Hz display on an entry-level Unisoc chip puts a specific load on the GPU. However, the massive 6000mAh battery, managed by a standard 15W charging IC, shows that the engineering focus here is strictly on maximum power efficiency and long standby times, rather than raw performance.
