Xiaomi’s upcoming mid-to-high-end smartphones for the global market, the POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, have had their designs, technical specifications, and European pricing revealed.
Design and Color Options
The new series stands out with a sleek design and ultra-narrow bezels inherited from the previous generation, with a distinct dual-LED flash detail on the Pro Max.
According to renders shared by reliable insider @passionategeekz on the X platform, both models will be available in black, white, and blue. The overall design language continues the aesthetic of last year’s popular X7 Pro. Both devices feature an ultra-narrow bezel with a centered punch-hole screen on the front. The main visual difference lies in the rear camera module: while the standard Pro version uses a single flash configuration, the Pro Max is equipped with a dual-LED flash.
The REDMI Turbo 5 Max had an orange color option matching the iPhone, but Xiaomi chose not to use it in the POCO X8 Pro Max version.
Performance and Display Specs
Powered by MediaTek’s latest chipsets, these devices promise top-tier fluidity with their high refresh rate 1.5K OLED displays. Looking at the hardware, both phones push the boundaries of their segment:
-
POCO X8 Pro Max: Expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It will also feature a massive 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
-
POCO X8 Pro: This model will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip and a slightly more compact 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED screen.
Camera Hardware
Aiming high in mobile photography, the series is set to capture impressive shots using high-resolution Sony sensors. On the camera front, the X8 Pro Max comes with a strong setup featuring a 50MP main camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The standard X8 Pro model will utilize a 50-megapixel primary sensor (Sony IMX882) that also promises high-quality captures.
Battery Capacity and Fast Charging
Massive batteries offering all-day uninterrupted usage and ultra-fast charging support are the strongest selling points of this new lineup.
If you are currently on the hunt for a capable Xiaomi big battery phone that simply refuses to die during heavy use, these upcoming devices will easily meet your expectations.
To summarize the power details: while the Pro Max model isn’t expected to use the groundbreaking 9000mAh battery seen in the REDMI Turbo 5 Max, its total capacity is to comfortably exceed 8550mAh. The standard X8 Pro to house a solid 6500mAh battery and support 100W wired fast charging, keeping your time tied to an outlet to a bare minimum.
