POCO X6 Pro, with the “duchamp” codename, is starting to get the global HyperOS 2.1 update. The update is going live with build OS2.0.100.0.VNLMIXM and is currently available only for Mi Pilot testers in anticipation of a wider rollout.
What’s New in the POCO X6 Pro HyperOS 2.1 Update?
Xiaomi continues to refine HyperOS with a variety of features and performance tuning. The update focuses on system animations, UI refinement, and game performance. The following are included:
- Smoother app switching: When switching in and out of applications, window movement is accompanied with a trailing full screen indicator, resulting in a smoother transition.
- Improved Multitasking: When quickly switching in and out of multiple apps, their animations are now executed in parallel for better smoothness.
- Home screen design: The 4×6 mode is a new added mode available after removing the Home screen search bar, giving users more design authority over their home screen.
- Flashlight Brightness Level Control: Flashlight modes now have a page with a variable level of brightness.
- Notification Flashlight Spotlight: Certain models have a notification spotlight while in the process of using the flashlight.
- Recents Screen Fix Issue: Some users were experiencing an issue with recent apps not being able to be cleared; we have resolved this.
- Game Turbo Enhancements: The performance monitor is a new feature in Game Turbo, and there are user interface upgrades made in a way to improve the game performance.
How Do I Obtain the Update?
The update is currently going out to Mi Pilot testers in the initial rollout. Provided no major problems are reported, a broader rollout to every POCO X6 Pro owner is imminent. In order to manually verify the update:

- Click on Check for updates.
The HyperOS 2.1 update is a smoother and better-optimized POCO X6 Pro with a bigger focus on home screen design, game performance, and animation.
