Adimorah JudeOPPO appears to be preparing the next generation of its Reno lineup, as early details about the OPPO Reno 16 Pro Max have started appearing online. The new leak suggests the device could arrive with several flagship-level upgrades as the company continues expanding the Reno series.
OPPO typically refreshes its Reno lineup every six months. The OPPO Reno 15 series was introduced in November last year, which means the Reno 16 family could be approaching its official debut.
OPPO Reno 16 Pro Max display and performance
According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Reno 16 Pro Max will feature a large 6.78-inch display. The panel is expected to use LTPO technology, offering improved power efficiency and smoother refresh rate adjustments.
The screen is also rumored to support 1.5K resolution and come with symmetrical bezels, giving the device a more premium and balanced design.
Under the hood, the phone is tipped to run on a flagship “N-1” MediaTek chipset. While the exact processor was not mentioned, industry speculation points to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 as the likely candidate.
If accurate, this would place the Reno 16 Pro Max among the more powerful smartphones in its segment.
200MP camera and periscope zoom expected
The camera system could also receive a major upgrade. Reports suggest the OPPO Reno 16 Pro Max may feature a 200MP primary camera, paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens.
