Following the release of the OPPO Find N6, attention is now shifting to OPPO’s next wave of devices. While the OPPO Pad 5 Pro has already surfaced online, new leaks suggest the company is also preparing a compact alternative — the OPPO Pad Mini.
According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming tablet is designed for users who prefer portability without sacrificing performance. It is expected to rival compact tablets like the Huawei MatePad Mini, offering a balance between size and capability.
OPPO Pad Mini: Compact design with flagship-level performance
The OPPO Pad Mini is rumored to feature an 8.8-inch display with a customized high refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals whether you’re browsing, gaming, or streaming content. Its lightweight build should make it easy to carry around, positioning it as an ideal on-the-go device.
Despite its smaller form factor, OPPO appears to be aiming high on performance. The tablet is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, suggesting flagship-grade speed and efficiency. This could make it one of the most powerful compact tablets in its category once released.
Camera, storage options, and expected launch
On the camera front, the OPPO Pad Mini will reportedly include a 13MP rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. While tablets are not typically camera-focused devices, these specs should be sufficient for everyday use.
The device is expected to arrive in multiple memory configurations, including 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB variants. It may also come in three color options: Money Purple, Dawn Gold, and Mocha Brown.
Although the battery capacity remains unknown, leaks suggest support for 67W wired fast charging, which could significantly reduce charging time.
OPPO has yet to officially tease the Pad Mini, but with the company already confirming an upcoming launch event for the OPPO Find X9 Ultra and OPPO Find X9s, there is a strong possibility that both the OPPO Pad 5 series and the Pad Mini could debut alongside them.
