The battle for the smartphone photography crown is heating up as flagship launches draw closer. While Vivo has been teasing details of its upcoming camera flagship, a new leak has now revealed the full camera configuration of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra.
The information comes from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, and it suggests that OPPO is preparing one of the most powerful camera systems ever seen on a smartphone.
200MP Sony LYTIA main camera
According to the leak, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary camera built around the Sony LYTIA 901 sensor. The sensor is said to measure 1/1.12 inches, making it one of the largest sensors used in a smartphone camera.
The main camera will also support optical image stabilization (OIS) to help deliver sharper photos and steadier videos, particularly in low-light scenarios. Alongside it will be a 50MP ultra-wide camera using Samsung ISOCELL JN5, allowing users to capture wider scenes without significant distortion.
Dual periscope zoom system
One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming flagship could be its dual periscope telephoto setup.
The first telephoto lens is expected to feature a 200MP sensor with 3x optical zoom, reportedly powered by the OmniVision OV52A sensor. This should enable highly detailed zoom shots while maintaining strong image quality.
The second periscope camera will reportedly use a 50MP sensor with up to 10x optical zoom, allowing the phone to capture distant subjects with impressive clarity.
There are also rumors that the device could include a 3.2MP “Danxia” color restoration lens, designed to improve color accuracy and image tone reproduction.
50MP selfie camera and high-end display
On the front, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is tipped to feature a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus, placed at the center of the display.
The device will reportedly sport a 6.82-inch flat OLED panel with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, promising sharp visuals and smooth scrolling.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and ColorOS 16
Under the hood, the flagship is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, one of the most powerful mobile chipsets this year. The phone will likely ship with Android 16 running ColorOS 16 out of the box.
Large battery and “Master Kit” edition
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra could also bring major improvements to battery capacity. Leaks suggest the phone will pack a 7050mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Additionally, OPPO is rumored to be preparing a special “Master Kit” configuration featuring 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, possibly paired with an exclusive design variant.
With both OPPO and Vivo preparing their next-generation camera flagships, the coming weeks could determine which device truly claims the smartphone photography crown. More official details about the OPPO Find X9 Ultra are expected to surface soon.
