OPPO has just introduced us to their new budget device, the OPPO A1 5G and it seems like the device might be a decent option for people who want a decent device, but without the higher price tags of modern flagships. So, what does the OPPO A1 5G offer?
OPPO A1 5G: Specs, pricing and more
The OPPO A1 5G packs a Snapdragon 695 chipset, making it a competitor to devices like the POCO X4 Pro 5G, and the POCO X5 from Xiaomi. Alongside the decent chipset, the device packs two configurations: one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage, and another with 12GB of RAM. The device comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, and a 50 megapixel main camera, with a 2 megapixel macro camera.
The camera can only shoot video up to 1080p, at 60 FPS so if you’re looking for a device that can shoot 4K, the A1 5G isn’t for you. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a headphone jack as well as an IR blaster at the top. The software end will be handled by Android 13, with OPPO’s Color OS 13 on top.
The OPPO A1 5G will come in three colors: Cabernet Orange, Ocean Blue and Sandstone Black. The 8/256GB model will be sold for 2,099 CNY ($305), while the 12/256GB model will be sold for CNY 2,299 ($334). The device seems like a good option, if you just need a decent phone that has good, but not the highest end specs at a considerable price.
