Many OEMs are actively exploring the foldable category, and most of them have chosen the common branding of “Fold” for their devices. OnePlus has taken a different approach and revealed through a tweet that their foldable will be called “Open,” with the tagline “We OPEN when others FOLD.“

Earlier than that, we believed that the device would be called “OnePlus V Fold”, but it turned out to be called Open. OnePlus Open’s render images were revealed a few weeks ago.
OnePlus Open is expected to feature a 4800 mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. On the other hand, OnePlus Open will come equipped with the Sony IMX 890 sensor as its main camera, featuring a triple camera setup with a telephoto sensor.
