OnePlus confirms the naming of their upcoming foldable device, OnePlus Open.

A few weeks ago, we have seen the rumors regarding the branding of OnePlus’ upcoming foldable device and now OnePlus has officially confirmed that the device will be branded as “OnePlus Open.

Many OEMs are actively exploring the foldable category, and most of them have chosen the common branding of “Fold” for their devices. OnePlus has taken a different approach and revealed through a tweet that their foldable will be called “Open,” with the tagline We OPEN when others FOLD.

Earlier than that, we believed that the device would be called “OnePlus V Fold”, but it turned out to be called Open. OnePlus Open’s render images were revealed a few weeks ago.

OnePlus Open is expected to feature a 4800 mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. On the other hand, OnePlus Open will come equipped with the Sony IMX 890 sensor as its main camera, featuring a triple camera setup with a telephoto sensor.
