Xiaomi has introduced its latest Mijia “Mini Wash” 1.2kg washer-dryer, priced at approximately $280 (1,999 yuan), targeting the urban consumer who values space efficiency and advanced smart home capabilities. This compact unit is designed specifically for users managing smaller loads and delicate laundry, and it further cements Xiaomi’s reputation for innovative home appliances.

Key features of the Mini Wash include Xiaomi’s proprietary “essence speed wash” technology, which efficiently pre-mixes detergent to maximize cleaning performance. The system utilizes a unique spray technique that reduces water and electricity consumption by 60% and 32%, respectively, compared to conventional washing methods.

Hygiene remains a central focus for this product. The Mini Wash has achieved medical-grade certification for its ability to remove bacteria, HPV, and common allergens from delicate garments. Laboratory results indicate the unit eliminates 99.99% of bacteria and HPV, achieves 100% mite removal, and maintains an anti-allergy rate above 99%. The appliance also provides steam sterilization and high-temperature washing cycles for comprehensive sanitization.

On the drying side, the Mini Wash leverages intelligent algorithms that monitor and adjust temperature and timing, ensuring fabrics are optimally dried without damage. Specialized low-temperature drying options are available for materials such as silk and other delicate textiles.

Additionally, the machine offers an automated ventilation feature that activates 30 minutes after a cycle finishes if the door remains closed, maintaining garment freshness and minimizing energy usage during standby.
