New HyperOS camera app rollout schedule announced

Xiaomi released the functional features of the new minimalistic camera app with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The new camera interface boasts a minimalistic page layout, streamlines certain features, and enhances the user experience. The update aligns with Xiaomi’s vision of simplifying its camera user interface to be more user-friendly. The new design will be released for old phones in the future as well.

Redesign for a Better User Experience

Xiaomi reorganized the page layout of the camera app, relegating high-frequency features to the top while maintaining the visual simplicity. This is intended to facilitate easier usage of the device and provide a smoother shooting experience.

Simplicity through Combined Features

Integration of Night Mode: Night Scene is no longer a standalone mode, but an integral part of standard photographing and video capture, made easily accessible.
Multi-Machine Interconnect: Professional video capture with this capability, which is part of the Pro Video Mode, simplifies multi-device capture.

Adjustable Shutter Noise

There is an added optional shutter sound for users to choose eight different sounds, such as a slow-shutter mechanical camera simulation.

Rollout Schedule for Legacy Devices

While the new minimalistic camera will be released with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi confirmed the update will be released for the older phones in two phases.
