Xiaomi continues to expand its smart home security lineup with a powerful new entry. The Xiaomi Smart Door Lock E30 Starry Black has officially launched in the Chinese market with a surprisingly affordable price tag of 699 Yuan (approx. $98).
Available now on platforms like JD.com, the device positions itself as a price-to-performance beast, offering high-end security features and AI-powered technology at an entry-level price point (dropping as low as 629.1 Yuan with subsidies).
No Compromise on Security: C-Level Cylinder
The Xiaomi E30 doesn’t cut corners on safety. It features a clutch built directly into the lock body and a C-level lock cylinder that penetrates the structure. This design ensures that even if the outer panel is forcibly removed or the handle is aggressively pressed down, the door remains locked.
Additionally, the lock includes a built-in “Door Ajar Sensor.” If the door isn’t closed properly or is left slightly open, the system will promptly alert you, enhancing home security.
9 Ways to Unlock
The E30 offers versatile access with 9 different unlocking methods to suit every scenario:
-
AI Fingerprint: A new generation semiconductor scanner with built-in AI algorithms that learn your fingerprint over time, making recognition faster and more accurate with every use.
-
Password Options: Supports Long-term, Periodic, and One-time passwords (ideal for guests or housekeeping).
-
Mobile Access: Unlock via Bluetooth using your smartphone.
-
Other Methods: Mechanical emergency key, NFC access cards (sold separately), and compatibility with various smart wearable devices.
Smart Home Integration & 1-Year Battery Life
With Bluetooth Mesh gateway support, the Xiaomi E30 integrates seamlessly with the Mi Home App. This allows users to:
-
Remotely view door lock alarm notifications and logs.
-
Share device management permissions with family members.
In terms of power, the lock runs on 4 alkaline AA batteries, providing up to 12 months of continuous use. If the batteries do run out completely, there is no need to panic; you can power the lock externally using a power bank via the Type-C emergency port on the outer panel to gain entry.
