Move Over JBL: Xiaomi’s new Harman Kardon-powered Bluetooth Speaker Pro debuts

Xiaomi is set to follow up on its successful foray into the high-end audio segment with the launch of the new Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Pro. The product was first shown off and released in some foreign countries as the “Xiaomi Sound Party” and is now set for release in China with a price tag that will surely give its competitors a run for their money.

I’ve seen quite a number of portable speakers in the past, but the Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Pro manages to fill the gap between being a rugged outdoor companion and a home audio device that’s aesthetically pleasing. It has the signature black and orange design, along with a vertical body, that’s meant to take on the likes of the JBL Charge series but remain in the budget-friendly category.

Summary

  • Audio Power: 50W speaker power with a 15W tweeter and 35W woofer.
  • Audio Quality: Optimized by Harman Kardon, offering well-balanced and punchy audio.
  • Battery Life: enormous 5200mAh battery that offers 26 hours of playback.
  • Durability: IP67-rated water and dust resistant, and features 3D iridescent lighting effects.

Is the Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Pro the New Budget King?

The specs definitely indicate so. In terms of what makes it tick under the hood, the Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Pro boasts a powerful 5-unit acoustic system. The device boasts a dedicated 15W tweeter for delivering crisp highs and a robust 35W woofer for delivering low-frequency rumbles. We have seen that Xiaomi has teamed up with Harman Kardon in their top-of-the-line tablets and mobiles in the past, and this is no different either. This ensures that there is no “tinny” distortion in the audio when played at a louder volume.

The design is also surprisingly practical. It has a hidden handle, making it portable, and 3D Iridescent Lighting, which syncs to your music, located on the sides. It’s just as at home on a bookshelf as it would be at a campfire.

Technical Specifications & Connectivity

Connectivity is made possible through the Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which ensures a smooth connection and reduced latency. Among the most interesting features for those already part of the ecosystem is Xiaomi HyperConnect. This makes it possible to pair seamlessly with Xiaomi HyperOS devices. It is also possible to pair two of these units together to create a True Wireless Stereo (TWS) connection or to pair a number of these speakers together to create a “Party Mode” to fill a much larger area.

Price and Availability: What’s the Price?

The Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Pro is only available in China as of now, and it costs 599 Yuan. When converted to USD, it costs about $83, and this is cheaper compared to its competitors like JBL and Sony. It will go on sale for the first time at 10:00 AM on January 20, 2026. Although there has been no official announcement regarding an international “Pro”-branded Global release, it has already started to appear on international retailers such as AliExpress, using its global name: Xiaomi Sound Party. So, if you’re in search of a rugged speaker that lasts long, without compromising audio quality for portability, this might just be the best value for money offering in the market this year.
