Mi Home App version 10 released; brings HyperOS 2.0 card design

Xiaomi has now begun the rollout of an update for the Mi Home app version 10 with a completely new, card-based design that reflects what’s to come in the new HyperOS 2.0 interface. The update is mostly cosmetic and does not bring in too many functional changes; however, this is the kick-start of managing smart home devices more intuitively and efficiently and reflects the sleek new design language Xiaomi fans will see with HyperOS 2.0.

What’s New in Mi Home App Version 10?

The most marked improvement in this release is the introduction of the HyperOS 2.0-inspired card layout, in which the management of devices can become prettier and more efficient. In its design, the emphasis is put on the capabilities of showing visualized, most interesting information and quick controls on a card-faced interface.

Each of the devices Mi Home supports has a card representation, with various sizes such as large, medium, and small, depending on the device type or user preference. The layout allows faster access to device status and options for its control, in order to achieve better management of the devices.

Official Changelog

Here is the official changelog for the update of the Mi Home app to version 10:

  1. New cards of different layout: Device cards are able to be set up in three statuses: large, medium, and small. More vivid information is able to be displayed. Large cards now support more than 35 categories, including but not limited to switches, sockets, sensors, door locks, rice cookers, and many others for more efficient control.
  2. Human-Car-Home Ecological Data Authorization: Mi Home Suggestions and Mi Home Automation would now leverage the power of an automation engine to implement automated control across Xiaomi’s “Human-Car-Home” ecological devices. This ranges from data generated by mobile phone devices and operational behavior information in the Xiaomi Hyper AI engine to sports and health information from the Xiaomi Sports Health App and smart wearables.
  3. Automatic execution of actions: Now, category quick control is supported: opening and closing a batch of lights and curtains, and more other devices’ parameter adjustment.
