Devices Which Will No Longer Receive HyperOS 2.1 and 2.2
The following models have been discovered to remain on their current version of HyperOS and will no longer receive updates to versions 2.1 and 2.2:
- Xiaomi 11 Series (all models)
- Redmi Note 12 Series (Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro+ 5G models)
- Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE
- POCO M5 lineup
- POCO X5 lineup
- POCO F4 lineup
- Xiaomi Pad 6 – Redmi K50 lineup (all models except for Redmi K50 Ultra
About HyperOS 2.1
HyperOS 2.1 makes considerable improvement to the system of Xiaomi, concentrating on system tuning and refinement of animations. The owners of such compatible devices will have better transitions and an overall enhanced user experience through such improvement.
What to Expect in HyperOS 2.2
Details about HyperOS 2.2 have thus far remained under cover, but most of the upgraded and fresh features have remained undisclosed by Xiaomi. Nonetheless, insider reports have shown that the update may be launched in March, where clients will have their initial view of what capabilities version 2.2 is to provide.

It feels like xiaomi 12t pro has been left in the shadow. No news regarding hyper os 2 update since December 2024… Will it get an update?
I have the Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G. Not sure how much of this article to believe, but if true, I am quite disappointed there is such poor support. On the other hand, I barely notice any difference with the upgrades, so it’s not a huge problem if you think about it logically!

If your device is functioning properly, don’t even consider updating it. Xiaomi are clearly releasing versions that haven’t been properly tested.

the new update of Xiaomi is very clear and colorful it’s brilliance in performance and extended battery life to prolonged it’s usage to it’s maximum.
Xiaomi may lead the battle on best pricing phones. However,they still fall behind on software support.

the updates to redmi pad Pro 2.0.1.0 is the worst update it’s so laggy and so buggy and there are not many features. it’s not worth the upgrade. but on this list where is redmi pad Pro??? I looked at the list that is included in update and I don’t see it there either so what is it??

xiaomi always give the best specs for their devices. but poorly about giving software update. i just bought xiaomipad 6 last year, and now no more support for hyperos 2.1. even we can see so plenty minor software update in entire year.

I’m just so happy that my phone came with a open bootloader so i get flash ports and other roms on it, but as for the official support of the devices, I’d say it’s pretty bad and even if they do update, nothing really big is going to happened!

It is your disastrous decision. Now onwards we’ll not purchase your devices in near future at all. As you are cheating your customers. It is very bad move by Xiaomi and it’ll hurt your image drastically. I didn’t thought that Xiaomi can do this. On the counterpart your competitors like Realme and others are providing their latest updates to almost all their devices. So Xiaomi think over it and your consumer friendly approach.
