Today, blogger @DCS shared exciting news on Weibo regarding his leak of an upcoming smartphone series expected to be the series Xiaomi 15. According to the post, the new series will feature some impressive snappers: a big main camera, telephoto macro, ultrasonic sensors, and even a glass body. Other standout specifications-peculiarly big silicon for a battery size, wireless charging, and high-standard dust and water resistance. Herein, what we know so far:
Xiaomi 15 Series: Key Features (Expected)
- Main Camera: Large main camera sensor, probably 50MP Ultra-Large Bottom Sensor; should provide advanced low light performance and image clarity.
- Telephoto Macro: 50MP telephoto macro, 3.X optical zoom, could shoot HD close-up shoots and give ultra-high quality zoomed-in shots.
- Ultrasonic Technologies: It will also packed with ultrasonic fingerprint scanning. That means under-display fingerprint recognition will be much more rapid and accurate.
Design: - Glass Body: Xiaomi 15 Series will have a middle frame that is likely to be at a right angle with chamfers; the metal frame would look sleek and the glass body would be of quality.
- Display: The Xiaomi 15 will sport a 1.5K LTPO flat screen, while the Pro model is bestowed with a 2K quad-curved screen for an immersive visual experience.
- Battery and Charging: This series is supposed to sport a relatively large silicon battery, which is known for superior energy efficiency, hence longer battery life despite demanding hardware.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is reportedly going to support 90W fast charging, which means it would charge up really fast.
While both models are speculated to be driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, the official announcement is scheduled to take place during the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2024 this October. The processor is said to arrive with a super core frequency of 4.37GHz, setting new set benchmarks for performance. These will be available in several configurations, including up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Thus, the Xiaomi 15 series will be proud of high-level dust and water resistance, being more resistant and adaptable for usage in most situations.

Recently, Xiaomi Group partner and president Lu Weibing has also confirmed that in Xiaomi’s next flagship platform, a new desktop-level micro-architecture will come. It is expected that the subversion upgrade could cover the Xiaomi 15 series first.
