India smartphone market in Q1 2023
Canalys states that one of the primary methods for achieving high sales in India is made through the offline sales. Samsung is able to maintain its leading position in the market due to its strong performance in both offline sales and after sales support. In contrast, Apple, which is striving to become a major player in the Indian smartphone market, struggles with offline sales as they sell Apple products as online mostly.
Samsung is a popular company not only because of its after sales support, but also because it offers one of the most stable user interface with monthly security patches and long time software support. Samsung is an appealing brand for customers in India because of the variety of options offered in the Galaxy A series and the fact that 5G connectivity is available in nearly all of Samsung’s latest phones.
