Google expands Android 17 Beta 2 access to different mobile brands

Google recently launched the Android 17 Beta 2 for eligible Pixel devices just weeks after the initial system release. While companies like Motorola are opening their own early testing programs, Xiaomi is quietly preparing its mobile portfolio for this major upgrade. Users anticipate that upcoming Xiaomi devices will receive the stable software alongside Google releases in May, integrating the latest system enhancements directly into Xiaomi HyperOS.

Android 17 Beta 2 New features

The newest software preview introduces several improvements focused primarily on privacy and large-screen optimization. Developers and early adopters can now explore advanced interface tools designed specifically for modern mobile ecosystems. These structural changes will eventually bring smoother daily experiences to future devices, including the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 8 lineup.

  • EyeDropper API: This system tool allows applications to accurately match colors on the display without accessing private user data.

  • Bubbles Windowing: A new multitasking layout provides a significantly better viewing experience for larger screens and foldable smartphones.

  • Contacts Picker: Developers integrated a completely redesigned contact selection menu for faster and smoother navigation across the operating system.

Future Rollout Expectations

Technology enthusiasts expect Xiaomi to actively join the official testing phase during the upcoming Beta 3 development cycle. The software integration process requires careful optimization to ensure perfect compatibility with existing Xiaomi HyperConnect features. Once the core software reaches platform stability in March, the engineering teams will accelerate their final adaptation efforts for global models.

Stable updates will likely arrive later this year, so it is important to prepare your current hardware by maintaining all system services.
