Battery innovation is rapidly reshaping the foldable smartphone space, and the latest battery test proves just how far things have come. The OPPO Find N6 has taken the lead in a real-world battery comparison, outperforming rivals from Samsung and Google.
Modern advancements like silicon-carbon battery technology are allowing manufacturers to pack significantly higher capacities into slimmer designs. OPPO has leaned heavily on this innovation, equipping the Find N6 with a massive 6,000mAh battery—well ahead of what current foldables typically offer.
OPPO Find N6 Dominates Foldable Phones Battery Test
In a comprehensive battery test conducted by PhoneBuff, three flagship foldables—the OPPO Find N6, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold—were pushed through a mixed-usage routine.
The test simulated everyday smartphone use, including social media scrolling, web browsing, video playback, and gaming. After nearly 28 hours of continuous use, the Find N6 emerged on top, lasting an impressive 27 hours and 46 minutes before shutting down.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold followed closely with a runtime of 26 hours and 40 minutes, while the Galaxy Z Fold7 came in third at 25 hours and 52 minutes. While the results align with their battery capacities—6,000mAh for OPPO, 5,015mAh for Google, and 4,400mAh for Samsung—the margin between them highlights efficiency gains across all three devices.
Interestingly, the Find N6 managed to stretch an additional 18 minutes in low-power mode after hitting 0%, showcasing solid optimization beyond just raw battery size.
Efficiency Still Matters in Foldable Performance
Despite having the smallest battery in the comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold7 held its own surprisingly well. This can be attributed to the efficiency of its chipset, likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite, combined with Samsung’s software tuning and thermal management.
This shows that while battery capacity plays a major role, optimization remains critical in determining real-world endurance. If Samsung adopts silicon-carbon battery technology in future models, the competition could shift significantly.
Beyond endurance, the OPPO Find N6 also leads in charging speed. With 80W wired fast charging, the device can reach 55% in just 30 minutes—enough to power several hours of regular usage.
For now, OPPO clearly holds the edge in foldable phones battery performance, setting a new benchmark for what users can expect from next-generation devices.
