Entry-level Xiaomi phones receive update to Android 16 before flagships

Xiaomi has initiated the rollout process of the Android 16 HyperOS Update (V816.0.3.0.WGRMIXM) for the Redmi A3 as well as the POCO C61, making these entry-level phones the first in the Xiaomi lineup to get the latest update of the operating system, ahead of even high-end phones such as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

Android 16 Reaches Redmi A3 & POCO C61

This is in addition to having received the stable update of Android 16, which comes with better system performance, optimized battery life, as well as app management. It is rather astonishing that the Xiaomi A3 and POCO C61 are among the first Xiaomi phones in the world to come with Android 16 support, including phones such as Xiaomi 15T, Xiaomi 15T Pro, and POCO F7 Ultra.

This is a major shift in Xiaomi’s update rollout process. In recent years, the company has been bridging the time between updates of entry-level phones and high-end phones, giving upgrades to every range of user.

Features of the Android 16 HyperOS Build

With the HyperOS V816.0.3.0, there will be smoother animation effects, optimal RAM utilization, as well as better integration of the new Google’s Android 16 safety features. Xiaomi has also optimized the management of background procedures to ensure that unnecessary battery draining is eliminated.

These optimization efforts seek to provide a flagship software experience even on entry-level hardware, reflecting Xiaomi’s advances in system optimization as well as interdevice synergy in the Xiaomi HyperConnect ecosystem.

Availability

It is a rolling update, which means that this is already being rolled out worldwide in batches. So if this update has not reached your device yet, you can check it manually through Settings > About Phone > System Update or through MemeOS Enhancer, which will also allow the user to gain access to the hidden features of Xiaomi.

My 14T Pro received the update to Android 16 back in October. It was an update that was 6.5 GB in size.

So it is not correct, that these two models are the first in the Xiaomi lineup to get the latest update of the operating system…

The Redmi A3 litter with Mediatek Helio G36 (12 nm) and PowerVR GE8320 receives Android 16 and HOS 3, and the RN 12 4G and RN13 4G DO NOT RECEIVE BECAUSE THEY HAVE WEAK HARDWARE. xiaomi = a lot of disrespect for buyers!!!!
Open your eyes and buy other serious brands in the future.

I was really disappointed to know that Xiaomi doesn’t think much about people’s reactions, comments, and suggestions about their phones, brands, and even updates. I was excited in first place when i saw a news update about HyperOS 3 and android 16 version of phones, but the excitement turned to disappointment when the news released some midrange phones are not able to get hyperos 3 and android 16 updates, and now this news 2 enly level phone got hyperos 3 and android 16 updates makes a lot of people think that Xiaomi doesn’t care of what we feel when we can compare which is better between entry level, midrage level, Flagships base on performance and harware, it makes people hated this brand specially to users using flagship phones after hearing news that entry level got the latest phone updates before them.
