Why Redmi Note 14 5G is excluded from Android 17
According to Xiaomi AER information, the REDMI Note 14 5G and POCO M7 Pro 5G will not get the Android 17 update.
Xiaomi also mentioned this clearly at the REDMI Note 14 5G specifications page.
Xiaomi Android 17 Expected Release Date
Xiaomi usually gives its first update during the Google I/O 2026 event. This event is on May 19, 2026. If we look at past years, the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17T Pro devices may get the update at I/O 2026. We don’t know the launch date for the Xiaomi 17T Pro yet but expected to release in MWC 2026 which is scheduled for March 3, 2026. If the Xiaomi 17T Pro is not ready, the update will come to the Xiaomi 15T Pro first.
If Google releases the stable version of Android 17 in May at Google I/O 2026, Xiaomi could also release its stable update in May 2026.
How to check your Android 17 eligibility?
Our Xiaomi tool MemeOS Enhancer app has updated for checking Android 17 eligibility. When you open the app, your device will be automatically detected and it will tell you whether you can receive the Android 17 update.
The stable Android 17 update is expected to be released by Google in May 2026. While Xiaomi will release this update for its flagship devices on the first day of the Android 17 release, it may take 5-6 months for mid-range and low-end devices to receive it. In other words, all Xiaomi devices on the list will have received the Android 17 update before 2027.
