Android 16 Beta 1 Now Official: Features and Roadmap

Today, Google announced the first beta of Android 16-the version is BP22.250103.008-, a big milestone in its journey to the next generation of mobile operating systems. Universal App Compatibility: Android 16 removes the screen orientation and size restrictions; hence, your apps can adapt dynamic orientations for any window size and aspect ratio.
Resizable Windows for Big Screens: Apps that target the API level 36 will also support resize on screens above 600dp, targeted towards foldables, tablets, and other big screen devices.

2. Real-Time Updates Feature

Introduces support for APV 422-10:

Google stated that before the official release, the Android 16 roadmap has the following four phases in beta status:
