Xiaomi Rolls Out New miclaw AI Beta Update for HyperOS 3.1

Roughly three weeks after initiating the highly anticipated “Xiaomi miclaw” AI beta program, Xiaomi is already pushing a massive Over-The-Air (OTA) optimization update to its testers. Serving as an advanced AI interaction product built on the Xiaomi MiMo large model, build 3.0.305.4 focuses on drastically refining the intelligent conversation experience, voice interaction, and smart home integration introduced in the initial beta release.

In China, this update is rolling out to premium hardware including the Xiaomi 14 series and above, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra and newer, and the REDMI K80 series and above (which traditionally launch globally under the POCO brand). For international users, the rollout continues within a highly exclusive global closed beta currently reserved for the flagship Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

Deep System Optimizations and New Integrations

While the initial beta laid the groundwork, the 3.0.305.4 build brings comprehensive optimizations to how the AI processes information and interacts with Xiaomi HyperOS.

Here are the primary technical refinements and features in this release:

  • Optimized Conversation Engine: Context management mechanisms have been heavily upgraded to provide much faster response speeds. The AI now features intelligent summarization of long-form content to eliminate redundancy and boasts a significantly stronger “memory” for highly precise, multi-turn conversations.

  • Enhanced Multi-Engine Voice Interaction: The system utilizes a multi-engine architecture, supporting Volcano, MiMo, and Xiao Ai voice engines for maximum speech recognition accuracy. It also introduces intelligent sentence segmentation, which automatically recognizes when a user has finished speaking without requiring a manual stop command. Users also retain the freedom to manually select their preferred speech recognition and synthesis engines.

  • Separated Smart Home Control: Mijia smart assistant integration has been refined. The update now separates device control execution from intelligent Q&A functions, ensuring much faster responses when triggering smart home actions and enabling highly complex scene linkages.

  • AI-Driven System Input Method: Xiaomi continues to iterate on its self-developed, system-level keyboard. This update brings built-in AI intelligent functions directly to the typing experience, including intelligent error correction, real-time text completion, and semantic association.

  • System Tool Expansion: Users can now map the miclaw AI to voice wake-up or the physical power button. The update also integrates advanced audio and video search functions, bringing live translation and Q&A capabilities directly to images, text, and photos.

  • Third-Party MCP Service Integration: The beta deepens its hooks into third-party applications via MCP integration, alongside support for personal MCP services with a quick clipboard configuration import. Supported integrations currently include Zhihu (content search), Tongcheng Travel (hotel, flight, train bookings), and Flight Manager (live transit tracking).

System Improvements and Market Impact

By pushing such a comprehensive optimization update just weeks into the beta, Xiaomi is demonstrating how rapidly they are iterating on the MiMo large model. Replacing fragmented AI utilities with a cohesive, system-level assistant drastically reduces friction in daily smartphone use. While the broadest feature set and deep third-party MCP app integrations remain exclusive to the Chinese market for now, the ongoing global closed beta signals that a worldwide release of these powerful AI tools is highly prioritized.
