Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Weekly Update: Resolving Reboots, GPS Issues, and Connectivity Bugs

Xiaomi has officially released its latest weekly bug report for HyperOS 3, addressing a wide array of system-level issues reported by the community. This update cycle is particularly significant as it brings stability to the new Snapdragon 8 Elite powered flagships and resolves persistent connectivity hurdles on the latest Redmi Note 15 and POCO series.

Weekly Fix List: Affected Devices & Software Versions

The following issues have been officially marked as “Fixed” in the latest HyperOS 3 stable builds:

  • System Stability:

    • Abnormal Reboot: Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, POCO X7 Pro.

    • Random Reboots: Xiaomi 14T.

    • Device Freezes: REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G.

    • Third-party App FC / No Response: Xiaomi 15T Pro.

  • Connectivity & Network:

    • No Mobile Network Service: Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, POCO F8 Ultra.

    • Internet Access Issues (WLAN): Xiaomi 15.

    • NFC Payment Issues: Xiaomi 14T.

    • Screen Casting Failure: Xiaomi 13 Lite, Redmi Note 13 Pro, POCO M6 Pro.

  • User Experience & UI:

    • GPS Battery Drain: Xiaomi 14T.

    • Default Theme Auto-Applying: Redmi Note 15 Pro.

    • Voice Call Echo: POCO F6.

    • Gallery Erase Tool Bug: Xiaomi 14 Civi.

Core Technical Fixes and Root Causes

The most critical resolution in this patch cycle targets the abnormal reboots affecting the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Technical analysis reveals that these reboots were linked to kernel-level power state transitions within the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset architecture. By optimizing the system scheduler, Xiaomi has successfully stabilized the power delivery.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi 14T received a much-needed fix for GPS locking and high battery consumption. This issue was identified as a synchronization conflict within Google Mobile Services (GMS), which prevented the GPS module from entering a low-power state. For POCO F6 users, the update recalibrates the noise-cancellation drivers to eliminate the echo during voice calls, a bug that had surfaced in previous HyperOS 3 builds.

Notably, for users of the Xiaomi 15T Pro (launched in China as the Redmi K80 Ultra), the update addresses third-party app force-closes, ensuring a smoother experience for the Global market equivalent.

Xiaomi continues to demonstrate its commitment to a “User-First” approach by rapidly iterating on HyperOS 3. These weekly reports are a testament to the brand’s improved transparency and software support speed.

On the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G in India, following the HyperOS 3 stable update, the second SIM card slot is not receiving a stable network signal. The network keeps dropping suddenly. A 4G network is not available at all; only 3G or 2G networks are present, and even those are intermittent.
