While the upcoming smartwatch will share the same core design as the Chinese variant, there are a few feature differences between the global and China models.
The Watch X3 is positioned as a premium rugged smartwatch built for outdoor users, combining a durable design with an extensive set of health and connectivity features.
Rugged Design with Titanium Frame and Bright OLED Display
The global version of the OPPO Watch X3 features a rugged build designed for durability during outdoor activities. The smartwatch uses a titanium case, which helps reduce weight while maintaining strength. According to the company, the new design makes the watch 16% lighter and 6.4% thinner compared to previous models, same as the Chinese model.
It also carries IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certifications, indicating resistance to dust, water, and harsh environments. This means users can comfortably wear the watch during workouts, outdoor adventures, and even while swimming.
On the front, the smartwatch sports a round AMOLED display capable of reaching 3000 nits peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. Navigation is handled through a combination of a physical button and a rotating digital crown, allowing for easier interaction with the interface.
Packed with Advanced Health Monitoring Features
Health tracking is one of the major highlights of the OPPO Watch X3. The smartwatch includes multiple sensors designed to monitor key health metrics throughout the day.
Among the supported features are heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, skin temperature sensing, and ECG functionality. The watch also introduces a 60-second comprehensive health check, which collects data from all sensors simultaneously to provide users with a quick snapshot of their overall health status.
In addition, the smartwatch can notify users when it detects potential high blood pressure risks. While the feature offers useful insights and lifestyle suggestions, it is important to note that the global model does not perform actual blood pressure measurements.
Connectivity and Smart Features
The global OPPO Watch X3 also comes with strong connectivity options. One notable capability is dual-device connectivity, allowing the smartwatch to connect to both an iPhone and an Android smartphone simultaneously.
The watch supports over 100 applications, expanding its functionality beyond health tracking. It also includes LTE connectivity with eSIM support, enabling users to access mobile networks even when their smartphone is not nearby.
Feature Missing from the Global Model
One feature that appears to be exclusive to the Chinese version is contact-less car key support. In China, the smartwatch can be used to interact with compatible vehicles, allowing users to unlock doors, activate the air conditioning, and perform other vehicle functions directly from the watch.
However, this functionality is currently limited to Chinese car brands and is not expected to be available on the global variant.
OPPO Watch X3 Global Launch
With its ultra-bright display, rugged titanium design, and comprehensive health tracking capabilities, the OPPO Watch X3 is shaping up to be one of the more feature-packed smartwatches in its category.
The official launch is scheduled on March 17, where OPPO will reveal full availability details, pricing, and supported markets for the global version of the device.
