Quick Share is set to receive a major upgrade on OPPO smartphones. The new feature will introduce easier file transfers between OPPO phones and Apple devices, bringing a more seamless cross-platform sharing experience.
The feature first appeared on the Google Pixel 10 series, where it allowed users to send files to iPhones using a compatible third-party app. Now, the capability is expanding beyond Pixel devices as OPPO confirms a partnership with Google to bring the functionality to its smartphones.
AirDrop support in Quick Share will simplify cross-platform sharing
Currently, transferring files between an OPPO phone and an iPhone requires additional apps. OPPO users typically rely on the O+ Connect app, while iPhone users must install a compatible third-party application for the transfer to work.
With Airdrop support in Quick Share, the process will become significantly easier. Users will be able to share files between OPPO smartphones and Apple devices without installing extra apps, making cross-platform transfers faster and more convenient.
According to OPPO, the feature will allow users to “conveniently and securely transfer files between Oppo smartphones and iOS, iPadOS and macOS devices,” improving interoperability between Android and Apple ecosystems.
First OPPO phones to receive the feature
The update enabling Airdrop support in Quick Share is expected to roll out later this month. The first devices scheduled to receive the feature include:
- OPPO Find X9
- OPPO Find X9 Pro
Once the update arrives, these phones will be able to share files directly with iPhones through Quick Share.
Meanwhile, the upcoming OPPO Find X9 Ultra is expected to launch with the feature already integrated. After the initial rollout, the company is likely to expand support to more OPPO smartphones in the following weeks.
The initiative is part of a broader collaboration between OPPO, Google, and MediaTek aimed at improving connectivity across different platforms and making file sharing easier for users.
