Vivo X300 FE goes official with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a 6,500mAh battery

Vivo has officially introduced the Vivo X300 FE while showcasing its latest innovations at Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026). Although most of the attention at the event has been on the camera-focused Vivo X300 Ultra, which is expected to debut later this year, the company has also quietly released its latest Fan Edition smartphone.

The device is already listed on Vivo’s official website in Russia, confirming its specifications and global positioning.

The Vivo X300 FE shares the same design and hardware as the China-exclusive Vivo S50 Pro mini. This suggests that Vivo is launching the X300 FE globally instead of bringing the S50 Pro Mini outside China. Both smartphones feature almost identical specifications, with the main difference being Bluetooth 6.0 support on the X300 FE, compared to Bluetooth 5.4 on the S50 Pro Mini.

Compact flagship design and display

The Vivo X300 FE adopts a compact flagship design with a trendy camera visor on the back. On the front, it features a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals while maintaining power efficiency.

Durability is another highlight, as the device carries IP68 and IP69 certifications, providing strong protection against dust and water.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powers the device

Powering the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite) chipset, delivering flagship-level performance for gaming and multitasking. It is paired with 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and comes with either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

On the software side, the phone runs OriginOS based on Android 16. Vivo promises five years of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, meaning the device is expected to receive the Android 17 update and continue receiving long-term support.

50MP triple camera setup

The camera system is another major highlight. The rear camera module houses a 50MP primary sensor (Sony IMX921) alongside a 50MP telephoto camera (Sony IMX882) with 3x optical zoom. Completing the setup is an 8MP ultra-wide lens for wider shots.

Large battery with fast charging

Keeping the lights on is a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is quite impressive for a compact flagship. The phone supports 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging, ensuring quick top-ups when needed.

Price and availability

The Vivo X300 FE is available in Moonlight White, Cool Purple, and Graphite Black color options. Pricing starts at RUB 60,124 (around $770) for the 12GB + 256GB model.

While the smartphone is listed on Vivo’s official Russian website, it is currently not available for purchase directly from the company’s online store. However, several third-party retailers have already started selling the device, and broader availability is expected in the coming weeks.
