Oppo has officially started rolling out the Android 16-based ColorOS 16 update to the Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G, marking another major step in its Q1 2025 software upgrade plan. The company previously confirmed that about 25 devices would receive the upgrade this quarter, and the rollout is now gaining momentum.
OPPO F31 Pro+ 5G Android 16 Update Rolling Out in India First
According to the official schedule, the Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G was slated to receive the Android 16 update this quarter — and it’s now happening.
However, the rollout is currently limited to selected users in India, specifically those who participated in the beta recruitment program. Oppo says a wider rollout will begin in the coming weeks if no major bugs or stability issues are detected.
Users who registered during the application window that opened on February 24 are the first to receive the update. To detect the new firmware, your device must be running version:
CPH2757_16.0.3.500(EX01)
If you’re not on this build yet, you may need to update first before Android 16 becomes available.
Important Things to Know Before Installing
Before installing the update, Oppo strongly recommends backing up your important data. While major updates are tested extensively, compatibility issues or unexpected bugs can sometimes occur.
After installation, the device will perform background optimization tasks. During this period, you may notice:
- Temporary heating
- Slight lag
- Faster battery drain
This is normal. The system typically stabilizes after a few days once optimization is complete.
