Interestingly, it looks like Xiaomi might be making a massive jump in its naming convention. Instead of the expected REDMI Note 16 series, new database sightings point directly to the REDMI Note 17 series.
This move shouldn’t come as a complete shock. Xiaomi recently skipped the “Xiaomi 16” moniker for its flagship lineup, launching the Xiaomi 17 series instead as a strategic move to align its numbering with Apple’s current iPhone generation. It appears the REDMI Note series is following suit.
