3 New “Chinese New Year” Watermarks
With Xiaomi HyperOS 3 February update, Xiaomi has added three China exclusive design watermarks that can be used between February 10, 2026 – March 9, 2026. These watermarks contain Chinese motifs and these are described as follows:
- Red Koi Fish: Vibrant red koi fish, symbolizing luck and prosperity for the new year, with their tails swaying.
- Traditional Lion Dance: A classic lion dance figure adorned with embroidered balls, vividly reflecting the charm of folk traditions.
- Horse and Ruyi Pattern: A horse figure blended with the auspicious “ruyi” pattern, creating a harmonious balance of movement and tranquility; symbolizing good fortune.
Which devices will get this update?
According to @Bao_小李’s post in Weibo, the device must be upgraded to the latest HyperOS version for the camera to output these watermarks directly. The relevant ROM versions began rolling out to models between the end of January and the beginning of February. Unfortunately, however, these watermarks are specific to China and cannot be used on devices sold in the global market.
