The existence of the Xiaomi 17T Pro has been officially confirmed via the GSMA database, signaling a massive shift in Xiaomi’s release strategy and naming convention.
Our team first detected a mysterious new device in the GSMA database in September 2025, just two days after the launch of the Xiaomi 15T series. Today, the puzzle pieces have come together. The “Market Name” field has finally been populated, officially confirming the device as the Xiaomi 17T Pro.
Strategy Shift: Skipping “16” and Early Launch
Xiaomi is making two radical changes to its “T” series lineup this year:
-
The Name Jump: Just as the main flagship line jumped from 15 to 17, the T-series is following suit. There will be no Xiaomi 16T; the lineup is jumping directly from the 15T to the 17T series.
-
The Q1 Surprise: Historically, Xiaomi T-series phones are unveiled in September or October. However, the appearance of the finalized market name in February suggests a launch is imminent in Q1. This means the Xiaomi 15T series will have one of the shortest shelf lives in Xiaomi history, being replaced after less than 6 months.

The “Fan” Difference
The Xiaomi 17T Pro is the global sibling of the Chinese Redmi K90 Ultra. However, there is some key hardware differences: the Chinese K90 Ultra will feature a built-in cooling fan in the camera island, while the global Xiaomi 17T series will not. Also camera setup will be same as 15T series.
With these specs and the confirmed GSMA listing, Xiaomi is ready to dominate the flagship killer market earlier than anyone expected this year.
