Xiaomi has executed an unscheduled, out-of-band (OOB) firmware deployment for the Xiaomi Pad 6, Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, and POCO F4 GT. Despite the formal termination of software support (End of Life/EOL) for these devices in December 2024, the manufacturer has pushed a compiled build within the HyperOS 2 framework. This release addresses a specific system stability regression and does not signify a resumption of the standard maintenance lifecycle.
Still based on Android 14 and old security patch
The firmware strictly retains the Android 14 kernel and the HyperOS 2 interface. It contains no Android 15 API implementations or HyperOS 3 architectural changes. Crucially, the build does not increment the Android Security Patch Level to current 2026 standards. The security definitions remain static at their pre-EOL values, leaving the kernel vulnerable to CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) identified after the December 2024 cutoff.
January 2026 HyperOS 2 update released for:
- Xiaomi 11
- Xiaomi 11 Ultra
- Xiaomi Pad 6
- POCO F4 GT
Changelog
The system logs identify the scope solely as “System,” with the resolution: “Fix: Errors occurred in some cases.” In engineering terms, this brevity indicates the rectification of a high-severity logic error—potentially a boot loop vector or memory leak—that compromised the stability of the previous “final” release. The update functions as a surgical hotfix to ensure basic device operability.
Lifecycle Status Verification
This deployment is a terminal maintenance action. The activation of the OTA (Over-The-Air) protocol for these SKUs resolves the identified functional failure but explicitly excludes these models from the active HyperOS 3 development roadmap. The devices remain classified as EOL; no further feature expansions or security hardening will occur.

This trash Xiaomi forgets even about a 1.5-year-old phone. Poco F6 has no updates. Does M6 already use hyper3? Why buy an expensive phone? No information, just blah blah blah. Emir, you just copy these fake news. Read the comments. Never Xiaomi again 🙁
